Hey guys,

I'm trying to set up a new pc for myself, mainly for gaming..but I'm not very experienced in it!
Could you guys give me a hand and tell me if these components fit together?

My eyes fell on the following parts:
Processor: I7-920
Motherboard: ASRock X58 SuperComputer
Graphics card: Nvidia's XFX GTX295
Ram: GeiL DIMM 6 GB DDR3-1333 Tri-Kit
HDD: Samsung HD642JJ 640GB
And last, but not least the power supply: Tagan TG1100-U33 2-Force II 1100 Watt

Did I miss anything/should replace something please tell me! ;)
Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for the replies! I think I won't be using the other PCIe slots, but a little extra power isn't too much, right? I guess I am going to lower the PSU to like 800 then!;) And will vista 32bit give me problems? I'm running that at the moment. Hope you can answer me!

Vista 32bit wont recognize more that ~3.5 gigs of RAM, so having 6 gigs would be a shame.

If you're not planning on using the extra PCIe slots, I'd suggest getting a cheaper board and using the saved money to get a 64bit OS (or a second graphics card, most/all x58 boards have 2*PCIe x16 2.0)
Gigabyte and DFI have some really good boards, have a look round newegg.
you can shave off some money by not buying high end components you wont fully utilize and use the extra cash for other things, like a water cooling kit :)

Matt and the others are right. for the 1 video card, 1100 would be way overkill.

but depending on what your future plans are video card wise determines how choosy you have to be with the PSU.

I put a Tagan 1100 in my box, and I'm running dual 9800GTX+s and the 9850BE and 3 HDs and 2 DVDs and 4 extra case fans plus temp monitors and all...so i chew up a few extra watts.

you can go to http://www.slizone.com and look at the PSUs they recommend/certify to handle various configs (although I found it's not up-to-date all the time)

Also, you can check out specs on nVidia's site http://www.nvidia.com

Good luck with it man. looks like fun.
