No. This processor is not designed for gaming. I'm sure you -could- use it, however... I would say with nearly 100% certainty that you would have performance issues.

It depends how much you are paying for it. If you can get an unlocked i7 from sandy bridge or later that would be a much better value option if your buying used and if your in the uk and want a socket 2011 cpu try this link.
