So, I suppose you remember me( or not at all) as that guy who tried to make the most out of an Optiplex 755. Well, now, I have evolved. My current rig is as follows, and I wanted to know if this build is considered high end.

MB: Z170X Ultra gaming lga 1151
CPU: I7 6700K
RAM: 24GB Crucial Ballistix
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO
Video Card(s): GTX 1070 SLI
Cooler: Deepcool Captain
Powersupply: Seasonic 550W
Case: Thermaltake core p5

Solution
''was thinking of the V8 GTS for my cpu''
do not spend a penny for this crap ...get the cryorig H5 universal instead

''And i havent really noticed sli issues''
its always better to go with only one gpu card ..but a strong one like gtx 1080 like said above

you have to compare to really know the difference between sli or single setup
single setup use less power wattages then sli ..and no compatibilty issues with a single gpu setup ..all depend on which game you play
MB: Z170X Ultra gaming lga 1151 = bad audio chips and no hdmi 2.0 , but its a good board for the rest
24GB Crucial Ballistix = WHY 24GB ??
Deepcool Captain = you do not need a watercooling at all a good cpu air cooling is plently enough and less messing
Thermaltake core p5 = awesome!
Power supply: Seasonic 550W ... not enough powerful for sli setup
get a 750W psu

The build can be reasonably towards high-end on paper but the term has no constructivity to it in general. You could say It's a good build for 1080p, 1440p 4k and forth. This would make a fair build for 1440p up to 144Hz. However it could use improvements, which are provided in the reply above.

It's a good build but why 24gb of ram and a gtx 1070 sli? Why didn't you get a gtx 1080 the number of games that support sli is dropping a lot and the number of games that it actaully help instead of do nothing orlower the framerate is already small.

The Ultra Gaming is just bad value.
Go for a Gigabyte Z170(X) UD5 instead or an ASUS Maximus
550W is too little for 1070 SLI.
650W is the bare minimum, 750W would be nicer though.
I second that opinion for air cooling but if you want to.go liquid it's your.choice

I didnt really think the motherboard was bad purchase at the time. The mbu, and by extension the odd amount of ram i have, is because of money stuff. I can probably get a different mbu within the month. I was thinking of the V8 GTS for my cpu, ironically.

And i havent really noticed sli issues. Yet, anyways
