Is this craigslist ad a scam

I this a scam because I am having a thought time figuring out if this is a scam, I have texted this guy and he said that he will let me see and open and look at the laptop and nothing is wrong with and is selling it towards a new MacBook. I am worried this is some sort of scam or a stolen laptop. Does anyone have an expert opinion on this subject.

It could be anything to be frank. And a post is not very revealing of if it's a scam until you get into the physical situation (to my experience). It could be the most professional post and you find yourself in a dilemma. Good deals may not be worth the risk and craigslist can be risky in a lot of ways, not just financially. If you yourself are worried, it may not be worth it.

Nothing in the post seems like a scam, they use some gmail address every time I have seen things. If it's stolen, no way to know, he may or may not have kept the original sales info. Most people do keep them, but if it's a kid under 24 or so, they may not have.
