Is this normal? Disk drive 100%

I wouldn't disable the antivirus.

I would reschedule the scans it does for a time when you wont be using the computer.

For example I have mine scheduled for 8pm when I am eating dinner.

An antivirus won't crash your computer with 100% disk usage.

It can crash the system in other ways like if it thinks an important system process is really a virus and stops it.

Another hard drive usage hog is windows doing updates.

You want to use the resource monitor, not task manager, to dig deep into what is actually causing the hard drive to max out.

Ok for some reason my disk has dropped down to 9/14% now, but guaranteed if i start up a game it'll shoot back up to 100%
