[SOLVED] Is this power supply compatible?

Hi there,

so I currently have a 255W power supply for the Dell Optiplex 3020 (SFF). I want to upgrade quiet a lot of components and therefore, I now need a 700W power supply (ATX).

My question is, is it possible to connect it to the Optiplex? I know I will need the 24 pin to 8 pin adapter.

If you have an SFF case you will need an SFF psu to fit, normal ATX won’t fit. That psu you link is garbage quality, there is much more to a psu than wattage rating. I will try and find an SFF alternative.

Why do you need 700w? What hardware will you be using? A decent SFF with that rating is proving really expensive, are you sure you need that much.

No, your power supply isn't sufficient, and your case would be too small.
