Hello, I built my system about 6 months ago and have since learned that 4gbs of RAM isn't quite enough for the things I want to do; I have an M5A78L-M LX V2 Asus motherboard (http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A78LM_LX_V2/) and am interested specifically in the Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance memory two module kit (http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9.html). I would like to know firstly if they are compatible, and secondly [if not] what is? Thanks in advance.
J.

I had a look at it, but didn't really understand what it meant exactly

It means Asus has tested and qualified the RAMs for the motherboard at the timings, quantities, and voltages listed.

Other RAMs may work, but what you lose is the ability to raise the damn roof in dealing with either the motherboard or memory manufacturer on operational issues.

Stuff happens ... but what also happens is you tend to be ignored when you did not follow OEM recommendations for qualified hardware.
