Question Is this RAM compatible with this motherboard

I bought this "Ballistix Sport LT 16GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model BLS16G4D30AESB" ram from newegg and Gigabyte b365 matx motherboard. I just wanted to know if there is such a thing as DDR4 ram being incompatible with a certain motherboard.

All standard desktop ddr4 stick have 288 pin, so there's no physical incompatibility.
Some (less expensive) motheboards may have limited speed support, but it should downclock itself to compatible frequencies.

Most DDR4 memory modules will be compatible with most "motherboards". But actually it is the CPU that determines compatibility. Some CPU's are a bit sensitive to what memory they will work with. So some DDR4 memory may not work (properly) with these sensitive CPU's.

Can't confirm Ballistix memory compatibility as the exact Gigabyte motherboard model is not known.

Sorry, but the Crucial memory part number BLS16G4D30AESB can't be confirmed as being compatible with the B365M DS3H motherboard by referring to manufacturers data.

However, the chances are this memory will be compatible anyway, as not all (compatible memory) data is available online.

In the event this memory turns out be be incompatible, then it should be returned for replacement with known compatible memory.

Compatible memory can be found by referring to the motherboard memory support list (at Gigabyte website), and by using memory manufacturer memory search at their respective websites.

Corsair, Crucial, G.Skill, Kingston, are some manufacturers that provide compatible memory searches.
