Running with only this Firebox open (3 tabs), I'm at 50/52 degrees C on the two cores. Is this safe to run at, or should I try to adjust the heatsink (already done that a couple times), or maybe put on some new thermal paste?

Thanks.

Need more info:

-What program are you using to read the temps?

-What heatsink is on the CPU?

-Case/case fans?

-Ambient room temps, ventilation, etc?

-Stock speeds or overclocked?

I'm reading the temps with Core Temp 0.95. I only have the Intel stock heatsink on the cpu. I'm using an Antec Sonata II case, which has one fan in the back which I have set to Medium. My Room has been a little hot, around 85-90 degrees Farenheit. Does that cover it?

Thanks

Core 0 and core 1 shows 33 and 35 C in speedfan.

I also use the e6600 and the orignal cooler.

I reacently bought this comp, and this time I decided to listen to others advice about removing the original theremal grease, since it sucks big time, and put on a good one. Through my research I have found out that the best one is "Zalman Super Thermal Grease" - better than artic silver even. And this explains my low temperature.

Im currently runing both cores on 100% and I now have the same heat as u do! (51c). And hey, it's summertime too, even though it's not that hot today :)
