Is Western Digital good with honoring warranties?

I made another thread about how my WD Black is dying (it's making clicking sounds). I looked and it has a 5 year warranty. I'm running an SSD that my windows is going off of, so I could still use my computer if the harddrive fails. I'm actually going to go out and buy an external drive to copy stuff over and use it as a placeholder while I get in touch with WD to replace the bad drive.

Are they easy to deal with?

Hey there, ForestDingo!

I'm sorry to hear about your WD My Book external drive dying on you! 🙁 I also believe we are pretty easy to deal with when it comes to RMA!
I'd recommend you to get in touch with our Customer support and let them know about your WD HDD, once you've sent your RMA request you can easily track how the whole procedure is going through our website.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions! :)

From my experience, yes.
I recently had a WD Green die, and it was a quick easy replacement.
