I have a half ISA card that I want to put in my computer, but my motherboard has 3 PCI and 1 AGP slot. Aside frm getting a board with an ISA slot is there anything I can do? It looks like it'll fit in the PCI slot, but I don't want to damage anything in a fit of stupidity.

Put the card in, switch the PC on and immediately leave the house and get a new mobo. You'll need it if you put that card in.

LOL! Or before he inserts the card he could order a new board online. At least he won't have to leave the house.

lol, it's not "half" ISA, it's 8-bit ISA. I suppose you could get an ISA controller chip and interface it to a USB controller chip on a separate board if you were an electrical engineer...I wonder why nobody has done that?

Well, what are you waiting for? If anybody can do it, it's you, Crash!

No, that's a task for SodNighthawk. Remember him, the electronics engineer?
