[SOLVED] ISO detailed (preferably with screenshots) for M.2 utilization on a ASUS X470F Gaming motherboard

I have tried everything and cant get my M.2 (Samsung 970 Evo) storage to read in Bios or Windows. Would someone be able to provide a detailed BIOS setting list for beginner/intermediate user s? Every BIOS differs, and the SATA/ACHI/RAID settings get confusing.
Windows media installer couldnt pick it up with no other media installed; CMOS battery left out overnight, no change. I dont have anything else M.2 compatible to verify the card.
Specs:
ASUS ROG Strix X470F Gaming motherboard
Ryzen 2700X
ASUS ROG Strix 580 8G top GPU
Hyper-V 32Gig DDR4 3200 RAM
EVGA 1000 watt platinum PSU
Samsung 850 evo SSD (boot)

Which of your two M.2 sockets have you tried using?
