Question ISP Routing Issues with Valorant ?

I used to average around 10-45 Ping max on Valorant, I literally live right next to the servers. I was playing a match one night and outta nowhere I started lagging, When I got off the match I went to the servers lists In Valorant and it showed that my nearest server (Bogota) was at the bottom of the list. Basically meant that it was the worst server I could play on. I formatted my pc, chose the delete all option and installed Valorant again, hoping this would fix it but it didn't, I used many apps like, TCP Optimizer, changed my DNS etc etc. I submitted a ticket to Riot Games and they made me Install their windows "repair tool" (RRT), they said that everything was fine and then they made me run a command that traced the routes or something like that.
1: 362 ms 101 ms 79 ms
2 27 ms 5 ms 2 ms
3 29 ms 14 ms 10 ms
4 * * * Request timed out.
5 4 ms 4 ms 6 ms
6 26 ms 59 ms 44 ms
7 19 ms 9 ms 5 ms
8 309 ms 175 ms 104 ms
9 348 ms 206 ms 561 ms
That's what it showed after I ran the command.
I formated my PC again. Installed valorant again and again the problem was still there.
I also hard rebooted my wifi router, that did not help, not even a little bit.

Could anyone help me? also this only happens with valorant, no other game.

Very strange tracert. It almost looks like the problem is intermittent. Hop2-7 do not show the problem but hop 1 does.

This is where removing the IP addresses makes it harder. The only IP you care about is your IP and that will never show...and you have already said you live near bogota and that is all you can tell from other IP.
In any case it doesn't really matter but the question now is what is hop 1.

Is this your router IP or is this the IP address of the ISP. Generally this is your router but if you were to plug directly into a modem it could be the ISP router on the far end of the cable coming to your house.

So if hop 1 is your router then there is some problem in your house. Are you using ethernet or are you using wifi. This is a extremely common thing to happen if you are using wifi and are getting interference.

Riot Games said the same thing about the tracert lol, the agent that helped me even showed me their tracert and the 1st hop was all 1ms and the rest seemed normal. I removed the IPs for privacy reasons but if showing them can help me then I will send the full tracert. And yes, I do not have a LAN Cable, I've been thinking about buying one but I do not know where to put it since the router is in my living room. I have always used normal WiFi without any LAN Cable and my ping has always been good and I've never even had packet loss, The problems started 6 days ago.

That is the trouble with wifi it can be fine one minute and be bad the next. This is a fundamental design incompatibility between online games and the method wifi uses to correct errors. Pretty much any other application is not affected much.
This is why you see everyone say you should not use wifi for online games.

Could be as simple as one of your neighbors got a new router and is now using the same radio channels as you.

Almost impossible to find what is really causing wifi problems many times.

Finding a way to run a ethernet cable is going to be the best option but you can consider MoCA if you have coax wires in both rooms or you can look at powerline network devices.

To be honest I've never had a problem with WiFi only once but it was a long time ago, I had a lot of packet loss but then it got fixed outta nowhere. I will buy a LAN Cable and see how I can manage to get it into my room but I honestly don't think that's the problem since other games go fine, I get around 50ms max on R6, 70 on fortnite, and so. It's only valorant that 's having this problem. I have also been thinking about buying a wifi extender and plugging a lan cable to it, Do you think that would work?

What do you think is magic about a wifi extender.

All you would basically be doing is buying a wifi nic that can be connected via ethernet. It is still wifi from the nic to the router. Not much different than buying a USB wifi card that has a extension cable.

If it really is only one game then you likely are never going to get it fixed since you reinstalled windows already. It would mean the problem is someplace in the internet between you and the game company. If there is some issue between 2 ISP its not like you can call them up, you are not their actual customer.

Still your tracert looks like there is a problem in your house so it should affect all games since it affects the tracert command

Ohhhh alright. I'm going to buy a LAN Cable, by the way I went to test CSGO's ping and it was 90-100ms max, so it is only valorant that's having problems. Also, I had the brilliant idea to make a hotspot with my phone and use my phone as wifi for a sec. I connected it, Opened valorant and when I went o heck the server list my nearest server (Bogota) was at the top of the list, it showed that if I played on bogota servers I would get 47ms, I went to test it on a deathmatch and I was getting around 40 ping. So now I know that the problem is my ISP, right?

It is hard to say it almost sounds like it is the game company....or more the game company ISP in that country has issue connecting to your ISP. It may or may not be a direct connection.

If it is only that 1 game then it is not as likely it is wifi or anything on your machine. Unfortantly you can do anything about how ISP are connected together. Generally the only solution to this is some kind of VPN and those are very hit and miss because they also can have interconection problem so you just have to try some different ones.

Hmm okay, I'll see if express vpn works, So what I have to do is like contact my ISP and tell them about it or..?

I'm also gonna leave the full tracert in case that could maybe work.

Your first hop to your own router is terrible!
