Damn 100 ping… I’m used to playing games at that ping cause my average would be at least 150 or 200…
Besides that if you have many family members using the WIFI it can cause slow downs hence why you get high pings. Watching HD videos, playing games in a server with a lot of players something like roblox requires good WiFi since their servers are so unoptimized, even streaming can take up a lot of WiFi.
My case is kind of the same as you, I do play Minecraft with my siblings within the same WiFi having about 4 people using the WiFi so it does get slow since spectrum kind of sucks and here in Hawaii the lowest ping you can get is at least 70 as what my cousin would say so it’s pretty normal for us to have over 100 ping while average is 200 overtime which is ok and at least playable.
Most of times when I play PUBG my ping would always stay around 200, while roblox sometimes would spike up to 1000 which can be unplayable.
Also when your WiFi router heats up and it kind of down clocks it’s speed to maintain it’s heat so that your router doesn’t overheat. Sometimes when I’m not having good pings I would unplug my router and leave it at that for about 10 minutes to cool down and it would fine after that, I’m planing on adding a USB cooling fan to prevent it from heating up and down clocking.
Most of the time our WiFi would be slow due to our service, but can’t complain since paying for a better service would be hard, but I can’t blame them, storms can be another issue too.
I’m on wireless wifi and not wired since it’s in my sisters room. Although she does play on her PS4 which is wired to our wifi (Ethernet) and still having the same ping as me just more stable unlike mines.
