Issues while playing black op and everything eles zotac gts 250

Hello,
sir i am very confused as of playing games on my computer. i have lag my system is not crashing but hangs and has lag beyond beleaf I have updated all of my drivers and still no cure. My system config is
motherboard zotac 780i
graphics card zotac gts 250
cpu core 2 dou 2.66
ram 4 gig ddr2
hhd 1.5 tara
what do i need to do get better resaults

GTS 250 is not that good, it is = to 8800 series.

A GTS250 should be more than enough for Black Ops which is a DX9 title after all.

what resolution are you trying to play at, and is it in all games in multiplayer mode or single player mode?

the screen res is 1157*720 with all the triming on low and the game mode is single player. i have tried everthing and it is not just black ops it is most games. please help or should i buy a new graphics card

I would hold off buying a new card if I were you as there have been a few complaints about that game popping up all over the place, do other games play OK on your system?

no i have the same problems mifis 2, cyris, need for speed, and wow i have tried everything that is posible to my nowlege i am some what a intermeadate comuter guy but i can not see the problem

Turning all the IQ settings down will just stress out the CPU more than the GPU but as for what is causing your lag, it could be more software based than hardware based but if you feel that a new card will solve the problem...

i have now idea what is causing it windows 7 64 bit is my OS and yet nothing works

I'm still using Vista and XP to play games on and whilst I'm using 8 series Nvidia cards I haven't tried any of the games you've listed.

well i think i have solved the problem? I installed driver cleaner and that software uninstalled all the video drivers and graphics drivers i had hiden on my computer and i think that solved my problem thanks to you telling me it was not a hardware problem but software. thank for the help mousemonkey
