Hello there!
For a while, I noticed that I was having sound issues with my PC and after some inspection, I found out that the old audio software (Sound Blaster Cinema 2) was discontinued and replaced Nahimic.
The problem is that my current BIOS version does not support that software. So, I went on the MSI support page and downloaded the first update on the list (since my BIOS was still on its factory default version).
I flashed the BIOS but the system failed to recognize the files that I had placed on the flash drive. I made sure that the flash drive is formatted to FAT32 and that the update files are the only files on it. Despite using two different flash drives and even downloading the updates from different browsers (in case one of the browsers was scrubbing the file for some reason) the issue persisted. I tried later BIOS patches just to see if there is a difference but to no success.
Just for more detail- When I enter the window after flashing the BIOS, there is a screen where on the right, you can see the flash drive. While on the left there should be the update files, but despite all my attempts none of the files appear.
This is how the files look on the flash drive (these are the only two I get when I unpack the patch file from MSI)
Now I'm kinda stumped and there is no helpful info on the MSI official website.
The model of my motherboard:
MSI B450M GAMING PLUS, Socket-AM4
Current BIOS version:
E7B86AMS
I would appreciate any help and I'm ready to answer with more detail if needed.
Thank you!
