It would be a great thing to be able to utilize a PCI Express 16x slot for a good card that would allow a ram drive interface, thus solving the problem.

Now, if this exists show me, I'll buy about 80 of them. As it stand on the fanboi front, Im tilting closer to the left (Intel), cause my p4n Servers are still owning everything else *Save the 2 clarions... but they dont count*.

2xx or 8xx AMD Opterons would make a much better RAMDrive in the x86/x86_64 world because your main memory bandwidth scales as you add CPUs and they support 16/32/64/128GB of RAM.

Even inexpensive Dual Opteron 940 boards support 16 to 64GB of RAM and would be faster than a PCI-Express device.
