I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on my new super (mid-range) build!

I have a few ideas, and a few questions to finalise details before I get flying.

I'm thinking this:
  1. Ryzen 9 7900X (maybe Intel 13700k or similar if consensus is it's better for my purposes)
  2. 7800XT or 4070 - based on my use cases, which would be best? I'm leaning toward 7800XT for the extra VRAM
  3. No idea for mobo yet, so advice would be amazing, but I'm aware I need/want AM5 socket, DDR5, PCIe 5, quality VRMs, Wifi, Bios flashback, good audio. I'm thinking a B650e or X750 board.
  4. 64GB DDR5 6000mhz low 30's CAS RGB RAM, suggestions to go along with the mobo would be amazing
  5. An 850w Gold PSU fully modular
  6. A 360mm LCD AIO - something fun where I can add GIFs/videos and stuff
  7. 1 or 2tb M.2 nvme drive - what's best these days?
  8. Montech Sky Two mid case in blue
I'd also love to get a CPU bracket, maybe for vertical mount, but unsure if I need to worry about the case for compatibility?

And I'll also love to get custom cables, but not sure if I need to worry about PSU for this?

Approximate Purchase Date: This month

Budget Range: £1,500-1,700

System Usage from Most to Least Important:
  1. Figma
  2. Illustrator
  3. Code editor / Filezilla / XAMPP
  4. After Effects/Premiere Pro (basic 30 second video clip editing for use in my website builds - no particle effects, long edits/renders etc)
  5. YouTube/VLC always running
  6. Audio recording (guitar via audio interface, so maybe something to consider for Mobo)
  7. Gaming (AAA, but not regularly and not too worried about max settings)
Are you buying a monitor: Not from this budget
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Scan, AWD-IT, Ebuyer, Amazon
Location: UK
Parts Preferences: AMD
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: 5120x1440 (Samsung G9 Odyssey or similar)
Additional Comments: Want it to be a beast that also looks beautiful. Want to turn heads!
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My 3700X, 5700XT rig is still good, but nearly 5 years old so it's time to switch it up

I'm coming from this, so would like to kick it's butt:
  1. 3700X
  2. 5700XT
  3. 32gb DDR4 3200mhz ram

If you want to reuse your RAM you could do something like this.

Thanks for your tips!

Can I ask why you were thinking Intel 13700k over 7900X? Intel is a little pricier but seems to perform about the same or less in non-gaming tasks.

I'm sure the cooler and RAM performs well, but I mentioned I wanted silly RGB RAM and a 360mm AIO with screen for aesthetics :p

If you go the Intel route there's less chance of you starting another thread on here later on saying that your PC is in eternal bootloop.
