I just got this Neomail:

I was wondering if you knew what happened....I had about 180000 neopoints
and i went to the auction and placed a bid of 20000 on many items, but i
lost the auction and did not get any of the items, but neopets still took my
money and now i only have a few neopoints...
You think you ccould help me out, possibly lend a rare item or
neopoints...possibly?????

Of course the account is a week old (like I wouldn't look?) but it has a
White Grundo and a Hissi, Yurble and Korbat. It could be someone's second
account I guess.

Oh, but it's the first time (or maybe only in a long while) that I have
gotten something like this. And I haven't been around the boards or
donating to the tree in a long time. The last time someone asked for help
was 'cause they had seen my name when I donated junk to the Tree.

So, has there been a foul up in the autions lately?

I would be 99.99 percent sure that it was a scam. If there had been a
genuine mixup they should be talking to TnT not you.

Who cares if there has or there hasn't (although I'd but I money on
'no'). Just ignore it.

Back on July 17th I had a problem with the auctions. I bid on 2 lots, and
the second bid did not appear although my NPs were gone. I was to lazy to
report it to TNT and I'm too proud to beg!
