I've downloaded an Emulator and game but I can't get them to work. What do?

I've installed Visual Boy Advanced and Super Mario World from LoveROMS but I can't get them to work. VBA opens fine by itself but cannot open anything. Any ideas of how to stop that? Further detail will be given if asked and needed.

It say "Unsupported file type : C:\Super Mario World.smc

Make sure that the file you use is a .gba file.
