Hey ! I've received a lot of help two years ago and was able to make a great build that worked perfectly
(left build). I now have to make a second computer because I'll have to work in two different places for a few years (alternating) so I wanted to know If you could check which part I would ideally need to upgrade.
- Main uses will be coding, game dev, gaming (dont play any FPS or competitive games so framerate doesnt need to be maximised) and drawing.
- Budget is flexible but I guess ideally around 1500-2000 euros ?
Thanks a lot for your help !

Mouse - Logitech G502
Keyboard - K95 RGB
Monitor - Asus MG279Q

CPU Intel Core - i7 4790 -> i7 6700?

Thanks for your answer ! 1080 seems to go just over the limit for me but the 1070 is definitely in the right price range. Budget is flexible but around 1500-2000 euros so it should fit.

Sorry, true it wasnt clear, I thought it would make it easier but it ended making it unclear. I thought Id start from the same build as my current one and just change the parts that needed an update, was pretty happy of it and didnt need to change any part that hasnt been updated. (edit : from the list. This is a separate build just using the same base.)

Prices are higher in Belgium currency. And more RAM is required for game development.

my bad, I thought euros was UK list ( I did say to get 32 gigs if needed )

Honestly upgrading from a 4790 to a 6700K isn't going to make much difference at all. Upgrading from a 970 to a 1060 isn't going to make much difference at all. I'd stick with the 4790 and then upgrade your GPU to a 1080 and then increase your RAM to at least 16GB.

This is actually a seperate build altogether at a different location. Not a direct upgrade per se.

Sorry, this was a terrible idea ! This is actually an entirely different build. Im just using the old one as a basis. It works fine so I thought there was no need to change anything in the list if it hadnt been updated. But just from the list, not from my computer.

Yeah I thought it was a 2nd full build also....... oh well he got the help he needed and that's all that madders
