Japan's economy is actually in a worse shape than Greece. Its debt haven't caused major problems, yet...

[citation][nom]trumpeter1994[/nom]This is great. I mean honestly this whole thing is ridiculous, its like somebody who invented door handles trying to file a lawsuit against automakers for putting them on there cars.Apple is trying to sue Samsung for using things that have been established as industry standards. As much as I hate to admit it Apple has helped put these standards in place, but in reality they shouldn't be suing over it, they should just feel proud that they've had an impact.[/citation]

It might have been pride when Jobs was at the helm, now it's just about money. Besides, do you actually expect a U.S. company to forgo even a sliver of profit for the sake of pride? The *only* thing people here worship nowadays is money. :-(

When Apple copy someone or stealing someone ideas: God Rights, Apple invent it!
When someone made products looks like Apple's products: Copyrights, sue the fook out of them!

You really don't know Jobs then.

I think USA recently changed their patent system so that the one who is awarded the patent is the one who asks for it first and not the one who invents or discovers something first which is what it was before. If that's true then I have trouble understanding how that demonstrates how USA is not being completely idiotic but then again I heard that all the other countries had their patent law like that before the USA changed theirs to be the same as the rest of the world. On top of that I heard that it was Obama that approved this change. I wouldn't have expected it from him because he seems very pro-science.

Perhaps you should stop speculating and actually read the act

Not sure if apple still buy parts from samsung. If they still do, samsung cant do that straight...
The real battle that apple have is with google's android... and this proxy war is just the tip of the iceberg

and, samsung have a case against apple which involve real technological stuff (communications and not design like scrolling your icons 😛) and that will really hurt apple if samsung win. Its a core function of a phone and just like apple, the case seems filed around the world 😛

Whatever happens people will just buy what they want. Like for example, in schools they are asking students to buy ipad for education based teaching while low budget users dont have apple at all in their hands (which is dominated by nokia and samsung android).

All in all, what ever happens seems to be bad for customers. Allso this shows how complex the situation is. You win and lose in different countries. We need better laws, and companies needs better laws. Now every company is making patent for every new device outfit they put in the market. Maybe just so that they can not be sued, if their new device gets patent of what it will look like. Soon every possible configuration gets patented and those patents that look a like causes more patent wars...
A goog advice to any young person reading this forum. Lear law and become a layer. You will have a lot of job opportunities...
