[SOLVED] Just bought wifi adapter card *no valid ip adress*

ive tried using ipconfig /release, and /renew, but when i try to it says an error occured whilre renewing interface wifi : the system cannot find the file specified. I have attempted everything from manually setting the ip adress to multiple restarts. my ip adress currently is stuck on a 169...

yes ive installed all the drivers, and in device manager it recognizes it

Did you get the latest drivers from D-Link for the adapter?

latest driver is date Jan 19 (1.05B3), maybe that'll help otherwise manually configure the IP and default gateway (your router address)
