Question Just built a new pc and it won’t post

I just built my first pc, started it up and the monitor had said no signal. I tried different monitors, motherboards and power supplies and the same thing happened to every time. I eventually narrowed it down to my ram (due to the indicator light on my motherboard) I have tried different ram and everything. I have tried everything and am really confused.

Pc specs:

Cpu: Ryzen 7 3700x

Mobo: Strix x470 f

Cooler: Masterliquid lc240e rgb

Ssd: Wd blue 500gb m.2

Hdd: Seagate barracuda 2tb

Ram: trident z rgb 16gb 3200mhz

Psu: rosewill photon 650 watt gold rated

Gpu: rog strix 2070 oc

Case: nzxt h500

The x470 MB needs to have the newer BIOS ( at least 4804 version) to support the 3700x. If it does not have, update the BIOS.

I have checked and didn’t see anything about needing a newer bios. But how would I go about that if my pc won’t post.

If the PC does not boot, most likely the x470 does not have the newer BIOS, check your MB to see it can support USB bios flashback or not, if it does not then you need to ask someone for help, more info: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

Ok I guess I will bring it to frys or bestbuy to see I they can do anything.

But you can ask AMD free to load the cpu to you for updating the BIOS.

Bestbuy or Fry's will be a lot faster then waiting for AMD to mail you a loaner CPU.
You might want to call first and see how much the stores charge for this though. Maybe one will be free
