hi, i have an external hardrive and windows installed the drivers
automatically but i cant see where my hard drive is there is no icon
or nothing, how am i suppose to use it if icannot see it?? i am a
total noobie and i really have no idea what to do

You need to format that new HD before you can use it or it shows up in
Explorer.
go to: Control Panel/administrative tools/computer management/disk
management
there it should show and you can format by right click/

You need to go into

Control Panel (If it is in catagory view, click on 'switch to classic view')

Open Administrative tools
Open Computer management

On the left hand pane there is 'Disk management'

You should be able to format the external drive, give it a drive letter
etc from there.
