Just Ensuring I DO Have to Buy Windows Again

I've done some Googling and it looks like because I bought the OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium, I'll have to buy a new copy of it for the PC I'm about to build. I just want to make sure I'm correct before I drop $100 on Windows 7 again.

I'm currently operating off an older 300GB HDD which will be used for storage in the new build while I use a SSD as my boot-drive. There's not a (non-sketchy) way to transfer the OS to the new SDD, is there?

a lot of people use the widows online reg service or call microsoft up and say that they had a mb failure and need to reregister the os to the new mb. the other free way right now is download windows 10 to a usb stick. at some point windows 10 will be free for windows 7 and up users..

you might google "win7 sysprep"....it worked on XP for me, and I believe it will work on win7 as well.

If you changing all the parts then yes you will have to re-purchase windows. If you were say just upgrading the motherboard you could get them to issue you a new activation code, but when the mobo chipset, cpu, and gpu are all different they are not going to do it.
