Just upgraded my motherboard and now Windows 10 says it's no longer activated.

So today I upgraded my motherboard and case (Mobo: Asus Strix ROG z270-E from a Gigabyte z170-n mini-iTX), which I completed about 6 hours ago. I just tried to change my background picture and discovered that Windows 10 is no longer activated. I looked around a little bit on some forums and found that Windows 10 might think this is a completely different computer because of the upgraded motherboard. I am going to be very upset if I have to pay 200 more dollars to get Windows 10 Pro again! Please help.

Do you have a Microsoft account linked to your licence? If it is then go to settings>update and security>activation>troubleshoot. Now click "I changed hardware on this device recently". Sign in and you'll see your device and press activate.
P.S. If you are logged into windows 10 with a Microsoft account then you have linked your account to your licence.
Hope this helps!!
