Question Just upgraded to 3070 and results are bad?

I upgraded from 1660 to 3070 and was expecting enormous gains but I was left disappointed.
For reference my previous fps:
BF 2042 medium - 80-100fps / now -> all max,dlss balanced 100-110fps
COD wz2 nearly everything high - 90-100fps / now->all max,dlss balanced 100-120fps
Minecraft performance basically staid same.
Some people told me that my cpu is limiting factor (i5 12500) , but before buying gpu and cpu I made sure that 12500 is modern capable cpu that will not cause problems for 3060ti or 3070 at 1080p.
Cpu utilization is in most cases about 60% while gpu is 90%.This is what someone suggested:
Dlss for 1080p is bad and not effective and low cpu usage is sign of bottleneck.
Maybe Im just delusional sorry,but my knowledge about all this is not very high.

Your performance is likely right where it should be when compared to similar specs.

It's not a fair comparison to use medium settings on the 1660 and max settings for the 3070, it's not apples to apples.

In the video below at max settings at 1080p he's getting very similar framerates.
