Question Just wondering if I could use my ASUS Fan Extension Card to extend RGB

Just wondering if I could use my ASUS Fan Extension Card (not model 2, it's actually the ver. 1 that came with x99 boards - the one on the picture) to extend RGB LEDs.. or do I have to buy the new model for that?

ASUS' product page mentions nothing about RGB. Nor does your picture show anything like RGB connectors.

No. That card is ONLY for fan MOTORS. It plugs into a special socket on ASUS mobos. Basically it adds more fan headers and some extra temperature sensor inputs to the mobo so you can have more fans under automatic control using the ASUS utility Fan Expert. It can only handle temperature meaurements and fan speed controls. It has NO ability to deal with the LIGHTS in any fan. Lights in a fan frame really are completely separate devices built into the fan unit, and post commonly have their own separate cables that attach to lighting headers on the mobo.
