Lol, all I hear from XP users is this: I'm too cheap to upgrade and I like to complain when newer stuff doesn't work or when no one makes programs compatible with my OS anymore.I have no sympathy for these types of people. They only hold back progress. Probably the reason why most software still do not have multi-core support. Because of these jagoffs still clinging to their Pentium 3 800Mhz or AMD K-2 processors (not really the reason, but you get the idea).
Calling one a "jagoff" just for using a Pentium 3 is just plain ignorant. I have a Pentium 2 laptop that is usable with XP. Slow but it works in a pinchI can even browse the web on my 486 if I wanted toJust because something is old doesn't mean its unusable (unless you are narrow minded)

Well it doesnt matter now, for another year at least, since MS just backtracked and said they are going to continue security updates for XP until July 2015 now.
Straight from your article "This does not affect the end-of-support date of Windows XP, or the supportability of Windows XP for other Microsoft products, which deliver and apply those signatures."Whether it's MSE or Kaspersky providing the AV "security" for XP, NO ONE will be providing OS security patches. The Best AV won't protect you if you have gaping holes in your OS.So, yes, it does matter.
