Keeping an old IP

So I'm thinking of changing my internet plan or even the internet provider but I need to keep my IP address. Is there some way to do it?

I'm pretty sure once you change ISP's, and you're using a new ISP, they won't let you use another providers IP. Unless you can manually change your IP to an IP of a different ISP.

Short answer, you cannot.
Long answer, money fixes everything, smack ISP people with enough money and they will comply. (could go well into 6 or 7 figures though)

you cannot keep your wan IP, why do you need that ip address?

Are you trying to connect using that address to devices on the inside?

Not gonna happen.
Each ISP has a block of IP addresses.

Verizon may have 172.xxx.xxx.xxx
Cox may have 102.xxx.xxx.xxx

You get whatever they give you.
