I currently have my windows installed on a 1 tb hard drive, and a new ssd is on the way. My question is, after I install the new ssd, get windows on it, will I be able to use my old HDD as a secondary storage drive? I would have to format it right? Can I just plug in the old HDD and format it from the BIOS?

Solution
Yes, make sure it's unplugged when you install Windows on your new drive or Windows will put the boot loader on your old 1 Tb drive. Then you can plug it back in and format it in Windows, you don't need to format it from the BIOS. Just make sure your new drive is the C drive.
