Lots of trouble, when we look at the time spent on long-latency frames. What happened to the GTX 680? Well, look up at the plots above, and you'll see that, very early in our test run, there was a frame that took nearly 180 ms to produce—nearly a fifth of a second. As we played the game, we experienced this wait as a brief but total interruption in gameplay. That stutter, plus a few other shorter ones, contributed to the 680's poor showing here. Turns out we ran into this problem with the GTX 680 in four of our five test runs, each time early in the run and each time lasting about 180 ms. Nvidia tells us the slowdown is the result of a problem with its GPU Boost mechanism that will be fixed in an upcoming driver update.

Seriously, do we really need 1000FPS? Most monitors are lets say, 60-80HZ So anything more than AT MOST double that are complete waste. I'd say the best thing to do is fps cap it at 160FPS and let the rest of the GPUs power go to making the game Visual Quality looking better.

edit? I realise some LCD monitors are 240HZ or more. But same applies setting the Cap at 300FPS.

Exactly. as long as i get solid frames without any performance loss or visual cut backs to achieve it. i am happy

Just don't put a big price tag on it

Although I may agree with you, with the amount of time it's been in development it really shouldn't have driver issues IMO.

so guys what do you all recon for the cut down version of GK104 (aka GTX670) price? is there any chance it will priced around 350? 😛 also i'm interesting if the rumored GK106 will be faster than my GF104 (GTX460 non SE version)

As far as I think
gtx 670 ti~gtx 580 }GK104
gtx 670~gtx 570 } --
gtx 660~gtx 560 ti }GK106

Yep, price should also be what it is now for the 500 series. So its kinda like why buy a 500 series when you can get a 600 series card on the same level

^But you know how it went for fermi nah.... 2-3 months after launch we saw the 500 series cards roll out...And citing that there's a probability of the GK110 coming out along with 7xx series after say 3 months from now, don't you think its a bit too difficult to come up with what to buy and when....

Well ill say this, once all the kepler cards are out. there will be a card for everyone. from the budget builder to the enthusiast to the Monster gaming builder

BUT!!!
On second thoughts, nice one to celebrate April fool's day 😉

Nvidia will now stop making dedicated gpus and focus on tegra. All future nvidia graphics card will now be a number of tegra chips on 1 card, the good news is with a new nvidia tegra card, you nolonger need a cpu either. The driver team is currently working on making tegra work on desktop.

Oh yeah, I saw Huang showing that one off.

Yea, i admin the graphics card looks a little out of place from his hand. Plus i hate to admit it, but thats not a 790.....or a 690. its a GTX 680. NVIDIA CEO presented the GTX 680 are their GPU conference held recently not only because its a beast card but because they are proud of what they achieved

You Know Guys that When I Saw The GTX 680 I Was Really Surprised About It And I Switch From AMD 6970 To GTX 680 SLI X2.
And I Really Feel The Deference You Know That In Every Game Including Battlefield 3 At Ultra Setting I Get 60+ FPS With Raid.
With 2550*1900 Resolution. I Know That This Time Nvidia Kepler Will Kick AMD Butt.
Good News That The GTX 685M Coming For Laptops Soon In April.
