Question Keyboard not working on boot - Legacy Bios - Windows 10

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, and I've found that my computer occasionally restarts after trying to shut down. I turned off Fast Startup and tried a few other things, such as upgrading drivers and what not, but to no avail. I figured I would look around in my Bios to see if there were anything there I could check or uncheck to resolve the problem, but I've found I can't access it on startup anymore. My USB keyboard isn't initialized until Windows is done booting, even when plugged in to the first USB slot on the back of my computer. This wasn't an issue until I updated to Windows 10, as I have dabbled in overclocking my CPU a bit.

Having researched this for some time, I was told that you can access your BIOS from Windows, by going through the settings and recovery to get to the Advanced Startup option and then clicking on the UEFI firmware settings button. This didn't exist for me, which then led me to find out that my motherboard's bios mode is Legacy, and not UEFI. So this option was a no go.

I then found that some people have mentioned to try to use a ps/2 keyboard instead of a USB keyboard, which luckily I had one laying around, but my computer didn't recognize it. I haven't tried to update the drivers for it just yet, as I'd like to see if there's an easier way to access my BIOS rather than plugging in this dusty, ancient keyboard every time I need to get to it.

Anyone have any other suggestions? My motherboard is fairly dated, and honestly, not the greatest for it's time. It's a Gigabyte Z87-HD3. I plan on building a new PC soon, but would like to have this one last me another year or so. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. If any additional information is required, feel free to ask.

Update: Was able to get in to my BIOS twice now, but the way I had to do it was awfully weird and frustrating to replicate. I went in to Settings > Update & Security > Advanced Startup > Restart Now, then had my computer go in to the "startup settings" menu, to which my keyboard would not work. Was not lit up or responsive in any way. I then unplugged it, plugged it back in, which made the lights come on, but it still wouldn't allow me to choose any of the F1 - F10 options. So I pressed my quick restart button on my case and was able to press DEL to get in to my BIOS. Was able to replicate this.

After looking through my settings I couldn't find anything that would be a giveaway as to why this is happening. Now that I can get in to my BIOS, perhaps some more solutions are available to me to fix this issue. I'd rather not have to jump through these hoops to get in to my BIOS in the future.
