My company requires that we create a boot drive so we can log into a secure desktop system. I made the drive an Onn 32 gb 3.0 usb and I can boot into the system. However, when it boots, my keyboard does not work, so I am unable to actually log into the system. I asked my company's support, and they said to call the manufacturer. However, they are on holiday, so I need help. Usb devices are enabled in the BIOs, uefi and legacy devices, keyboard is also enabled. My mouse also works. How do I get my keyboard to work in this boot drive?
Motherboard:
Model:GA-970A-UD3P (2.x)
BIOS Ver:FD - AMD AGESA OrochiPIV 1.5.0.5

Solution
The motherboard's ports might be faulty or USB 3 ports won't work before the os is loaded with the via drivers
Try connecting to USB 2

switch the ports of the mouse with the keyboard

Thanks, this helped me to fix it. My mouse is actually connected to my monitor's usb port, so I just put the keyboard in the other monitor port and it worked. The separate issue though is why it only works in the monitor port, plus I need to buy a usb hub to add extra devices (only 2 ports). My monitor is a ROG Strix XG248Q if anyone is interested.
