I'm having a wierd problem with my keyboard, it someeskipps keystokes or repeats them a bunch of times. I just bought the thing, it's a Logitech medi keyboard elite. My last very Logitech keyboard worked really good, but it was just to dirty to keep anymore. I'had similar problems to the problem I'm having now when I ewireless keyboards so I syd with a USB cord keyboard. Buttttttine sucks. Is it just me? I installed the drivers for it, I configured it correctly ( I thiiiiiik).

OK, I know that was all screwed up, I couldn't figure out how else to explain my problem so I thought I would show you.

Anyone know how to fix this? Keyboard is going in the garbage soon (really ******* annoying), but I can't find anything new that I like. Any suggestions?

Oddly enough, it comes and goes. It is especially bad after a reboot and gets progressively better after a couple of days. Right now it is not too bad, but not perfect.

When I look in the Device Manager I have listings for Keyboard, and for Human Interface Device. Under Keyboard this one shows up, with the Logitech driver installed. Under HID is numerous entries all with MS drivers. I don't have that many, only one gamepad that is not connected right now. Do you think I can get away with uninstalling them all and letting windows reinstall what it wants?

I'd try disabling them before uninstalling them. Either way if they are Microsoft drivers, they'll likely reinstall/enable themselves during the next start up. Have you tried running it without the Logitec drivers? I have several Logitec mouse/mice whatever the plural is as well as a logitech keyboard and neve install the Logitec drivers and never a problem. Actually, the problem sounds like the keys are sticking so it's possible it's a defected board.

Make certain that the keyboard and any other input device is solidly plugged into the USB port and not moving. I once had a problem that looked like a bad keyboard, but the cause was actually another devixe that had worked loose.

I would delete everything under HID and the keyboard then restart and see if anything changes. If not then uninstall the drivers and reinstall them. If it is still not fixed then go ahead and get it replaced.

Dude I have the SAME problem with my media elite. It was really annoying and I am kinda pissed seing that it was Logitech stuff operating so crappy. It is actually my first Logitech Keyboard, but I have other Logi stuff and I expected better. If you find any solution, let me know. But all I can suggest now is using it with the PS/2 adapter. That's what I am doing now and the problem is resolved, and I think I still have all my keys' functionality. But I would still like to know what could be causing the USB problem. Good luck.

Thanks for reminding me about the PS/2 adapter dipz. It's working just fine in the PS/2 port.

I did uninstall all the HID devices and on the next reboot it reinstalled them all with no change. If I plug the old keyboard in it works just fine too. I have no idea why this keyboard doesn't like my USB ports.

For now PS/2 will do, I'm building a new PC soon anyway so we'll see how it works on that one.
