Keyboard works offline but not online

My keyboard started typing the wrong letters online. Offline it did great. Then I unplugged it and now it will not boot on. I had to get an older keyboard to write this to you all.

When you say "online" do you mean when you're trying to type in your web browser?

Now the old keyboard is doing the same thing

Does the keyboard work in other applications? Like Notepad? Wordpad? Word? etc If so, it has nothing to do with the keyboard and it's something to do with the browser.

Yes works in notepad. I just read that is was probably set in Dvorak language. Had to reset firefox. Old one still working now. Hopefully it will stay that way. Not sure what happened to old one. I am afraid the port may not be good. May have burned it out or something to that affect.
