Hi guys,
Got some RAM, its Kingston Hyper X KHX1600C9AD3K2/4G / 4GB / PC3-12800 / 1600MHz / DDR3 / 240 Pin / CL9 / Unbuffered DIMM / Computer Memory / Kit of 2
This is the exact look and model
Heres the thing: I didnt buy the RAM, I got it in a replacement PC on the insurance (I managed to spill beer in the massive fan at the top). So until recently I didnt know exactly what it was.
However, sure enough, on the sticker it says "KHX1600C9AD3K2/4G".
However, in the image above, it is saying that the RAM is 10700.
I have an i5-3570k mobo with Z77-D3H motherboard.
Ive upped the RAM to 1600 using the 3D BIOS, as I seemed to be locked out of the frequency settings in the 2d version. So the RAM is running at 1600, or it should be.
How do I enable the XMP/what are the steps and is it safe to run this RAM at 1600mhz? Also why is it showing up as 1333 RAM?
Kind regards,
Merx
