I am trying to decide which game to get....both sound pretty good. I
played the first Kohan (and liked it very much). I also played Warlords
Battlecry 2 (and liked that one very much also).

So, what are your opinions of the games? The positives vs. the
negatives.....?

Thanks

Chris

Kohan 2 is a bigger improvement over the original. WB3 feels like WB2
despite being better in a great many ways.

The campaign story in Kohan 2 is abysmally worse than in the original,
but the actual gameplay has advanced by leaps and bounds. The way you
can group regiments into armies is especially nice.

WB3 is just as ridiculously easy as WB2 if you can't keep yourself from
converting the AI base, but the balance is better, the hero levelling is
better, the artifacts are handled better, and so on.

I have to say, having tried both Kohan2 and WBC3, that I prefer the
depth and pace of Dom2 to either. That said, if you want a good old RTS
blast, I think Kohan2 just pips WBC3. Both are ok though.

P.S. Problem is though, the latest Kohan2 patch (1.2.3) does not have a
noCD crack (as far as I can find), meaning you have to leave the CD in
the drive (which I HATE!). The latest WBC3 patch, OTOH, does not suffer
from this.

The lack of a v. 1.2.3 no-cd .exe has kept me with v. 1.1.5 (I play 3 or 4
game during the course of an average day and am not going to swap out
discs). I thought the lack of a hack resulted from lack of interest in the
game, but now I wonder.... I recall that it took a couple of tries each to
hack the earlier versions because the developers put some tricky stuff in
the code (i.e., with the first hacks upgrading facilities destroyed them,
blacked-out mini-map, etc). Maybe 1.2.3 has more of this and is not
hackable by your hacker with average talents....thus, no hack.
