Hello,

I am trying to install a KT4 Ultra (KT400) with an AMD Athlon 2200+ (FSB 266
MHz). I have all the options on this motherboard, so I have the LEDs on the
D-Bracket.

When I swith on the power, the LEDs stop at "Testing RTC (Real Time Clock)",
and I get three bips, like that:

bip bip bip

Moreover, when I switch on my screen before the motherboard, its LED is
orange (no video signal). When I switch on the motherboard, the monitor's
LED is off (?) and so there is nothing at screen. I have to wait fo everal
minutes before the screen can be used again.

The motherboard is by now out of the case, with only CPU, RAM, and video
card.

Thanks for help.

It may be the graphics card - because it froze on the RTC test, the next
test would have been the graphics card - also if the 3 beeps were 1 long and
2 short it would confirm it.
Try re-seating the card.
As for the siren, this may be due to the cpu heatsink being not seated
properly, check it very closely with a torch or remove and re-fit it.
See this useful MSI guide to possible problems -

By the way, sometimes, I get the "siren sound" .

I put a Volcano 9, the fan is turning, and there is some thermal grease
(ArticSilver).

So I don't undestrand why I get this sound...
