KVM mouse issue

I installed NT4 on one of the computers on my home network as a learning
exercise. I use a Belkin Omniview KVM switch to select which computer I want
to use at any given time. My problem is that the NT box loses the mouse when
I switch away from it and then back. I have a linux box that did the same
thing but was easy to regain operation by manually reselecting the XWindows
server which resynced the mouse. Is there something similar I can do with
the NT box where it will again see the mouse without rebooting?

thanks for any replies.

You might be able to restart the mouse service or device from the control
panel. That or get a new KVM that has a "keepalive" capability. That way the
system will still think the mouse is connected.
