What is wrong with these guys. Why can't they do the 2*16 crossfire instead of 2*8 and only 1*16, 2*8, 1*2 electrical? It's frustrating when the Nvidia chips have been going 2*16 for awhile now. Anyone have any input as to why or if this will really even make a difference?

Because of the chipset used

It is not DFI's fault, or the boards fault, it is just the chipset used for that price point.

DFI do make boards with 2 x PCIe x16 slots

I mean that's understandable but, I guess I was just hoping for and ATI 2*16 + Conroe matchup. Oh well huh?

Current cards don't even saturate he x8 slots let alone an x16 slot. x16 x 8 x93897438947893. It's just a number and it doesn't mean you get any more or less performance.

Ok, but how will the new R600 series of cards accept this board when it's a given that the new 8800 Nvidian cards are known not to like x8. You know maybe what you are saying is very true for the current field of cards but what about in a couple of months when the R600's release?
