laptop boosting

ok aside from digging deep hole and burying it , or spending a fortune (250.00) for more ram, what can i actually do to speed this thing up , any GOOD software tweeking programs you can recommend that actually work?

Well, your P133 chip is a real P133, you might be able to kick it up to 166~200Mhz with new chip + dip switches on mobo.
There are overdrive CPU's as well that might help. your machine is not MMX so avoid MMX cpu's

Well, 16Mb is the bare minimum with W98...too much swapping. If you can, try going back to W95, try to keep the system tray programs loading on startup to a minimum(ICQ, Messenger, things like that), and make sure your Start menu isn't loading things like Fast Find and Office Startup, which eat up RAM and system resources.
