Question Laptop boot hdd is spinning but not detected in BIOS

I Recently took apart my dell latitude e6420 apart , everything was ok until I put it back and booted it up and to my shock they say no boot drive is detected , when to check the If it was properly installed and it was , went back to BIOS and to my shock they say there is no HDD whatsoever even though it’s connected to my pc and keep in mind that My pc was working just fine before I took it apart

You really sure you pushed the hdd properly in place ?

Was there any issues before you took it apart (or reason for you doing that in the first place) ?

Yes I am 100% the hdd is in place , I can even hear it spinning , I took the pc apart for a whole different reason the Boot HDD was working just fine before I took it apart

Can it be - you somehow have performed a bad attemt to pull it out so that the hdd itself or the contakt have taken damage ?

I checked the contacts , there is no sign of dust , corrosion, or a bad pin.

Ok, then the next step should be trying to test the hdd in another computer or if you have another hdd, see if it get detected by bios.

Can a regular SATA cable from a desktop computer work with this slim HDD?

What else did you take apart besides the hdd?

Perhaps you just need to enable the sata port in the bios.

Yeah The sata is enabled but nothing is detected like the Hdd isn’t there.
