Question LAPTOP CPU Upgrade

Hello.

would like to know if it is possible to improve this Laptop, I don't know much about that topic and from what I was reading, only Celeron and Pentium processors can be installed since the board has an HM70 Chipset (Panther Point). Is that so?

The only thing I improved was the RAM, from 2GB to 8GB. I was also thinking of changing the HDD drive for an SDD drive.

I would appreciate it if you could help me.

Since it is a PGA mount CPU, you could "change", in theory.
But only within the same generation, and only if the motherboard and BIOS allows (unlikely).
So you'd still have a 10 year old system.

Don't bother with the CPU.

Just swap the HDD for an SSD and be done with it.
