My asus scar3 laptops screen froze, crashed and made a loud buzzing noice while I was playing red dead redemption 2, could this be the fact that I undervalued my cpu too much or do I have to watch out for other underlying issue, also if my crash is because of the undervolting would this cause any damage to my hardware and why would it make a loud buzzing noice?

i undervolted cpu by 0.9mv on xtu

cpu i7 9850h
gpu Rtx. 2070

Solution
Running at too low a voltage would, I think, cause your symptoms.
I doubt that there was any damage done.

You are likely to want to reduce voltage because of cooling issues.
Instead, go to windows power management and try setting the max processor state to 90% instead of the default of 100%
See how you do.

Solution
The buzzing noise is a concern...but the only way to know if there's a problem is to reboot and start another game.

As far as controlling temps IMO you should be running the laptop at stock voltage on a power ventilated stand and do monthly dust cleaning to keep the vents and fans clean.
