[SOLVED] Laptop doesn't do anything ?

Hi all,
So I have an MSI GP62M-7RD Leopard laptop (https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GP62M-7RD-Leopard) and it worked fine.

The other day I opened it up and removed the dust, replaced the thermal paste etcetera (I also had the CMOS battery removed for a few minutes and got the RAM out and back in if that matters) . When I started it up it took a while (like 40 seconds) and it went a few times through the boot process I think, but eventually it all started and worked perfectly (I think even better because I cleared the CMOS).

I shut it down the regular way via Windows, however when I tried to boot it again a few minutes later (I only put the screws back in in the meantime, did not touch the insides of the laptop) and it just didn't do anything. I had power and battery of course connected but it didn't react to the power button in any way. I have tried some things, like disconnecting the power and battery and pressed the power button for 60+ seconds. Did this a few times with CMOS battery connected as well as disconnected, but it doesn't do a thing. I'm scared I accidentally burned a fuse or anything... ?

Anyone has any idea what it could be or what I can do?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Considering you removed the CMOS battery, you're advised to go into BIOS after the first cold boot after reassembly and make sure the BISO settings are as they were since some settings and boot order changes can and will lead to what you've described. You might want to make sure that you've reassembled the laptop the same way you'd disassembled it since there are times where one or more cables end up being overlooked hence the inactivity of the power button or perhaps under too much stress that they end up being damaged.
