Question Laptop doesnt start after shutdown post RAM upgrade

Issue Detail
  • Installed new Crucial RAM (8 GB) and started the system
    • System boots successfully and identifies the RAM
  • System is restarted
    • No Issues, works fine every time it is restarted
  • System is shutdown
    • Pressing on power button doesn’t start the system, I can hear a trip sound and Green LED waking up and sleeps back, this happens continuously
  • RAM is unplugged and Installed again
    • System boots successfully and identifies the RAM
  • Same cycle repeats on system Restart and Shutdown
I have the same issue if now i am trying with old 4 GB RAM

If you have Windows 10 disable Fast Startup* and power off.
Disconnect power cord, open laptop back cover & disconnect the battery.
Press the power button for 20 seconds.
Remove the CMOS battery (coin shaped) & wait 2 minutes.
Install the 8GB of RAM.
Insert back CMOS battery.
Connect battery and turn on laptop.

*To disable 'Fast Startup'
Go to "Control panel click Power options.
On the left pane click Choose what the power buttons do.
Click the Change settings that are currently unavailable link
Under 'Shutdown settings' uncheck Turn on fast startup.
