Does the computer restart repeatedly or is it just the screen turning on and off?
Can you shut down the computer by holding the power button (for 15-20 seconds)? And if so, what happens when you start the computer again?
Right now, it seems your computer has problems with some Power Management settings, specifically the Hibernation feature. This is typically activated when you close the lid on the computer while it's running.
