Hello. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Basically, I'm in need of help to either fix or disable my laptop's internal keyboard.

The situation: I spilled water (just water) on my very old Toshiba Satellite (5+ years) laptop keyboard. I let it dry for 24 hours and also cleaned it out (w/o liquid) and began booting it up. Things seemed fine at first until my login screen. Keys were irresponsive, so I plugged in my external keyboard.

It didn't respond so I rebooted it, and on the reboot, my internal keyboard went crazy. It started pressing random keys as if they were stuck, and the keys change randomly.

My question: It's been around a week, and I've pretty much given up hope on the keyboard, but I'd really really like to be able to reach my hard drive to transfer my files over to my new laptop. Is there any way I can do this without additional purchases/removing the HD?

Thanks in advance. :(

Additional Notes: Windows Vista Home Premium OS, exact model can be provided after I get home
